We are looking for you to join our team in the Accounting Department at our headquarters in Idstein as a GL Accountant (f/m/d) as soon as possible. The position is temporary for two years as a parental leave cover.
Your role in the Wolfpack:
- Posting of bank statements and reconciliation of clearing accounts
- Posting of accruals
- Posting and reconciliation of retail business transactions
- Preparation of account reconciliations and account clarifications
- Reconciliation and monitoring of interface data from subledgers
- Performing intercompany reconciliations
- Calculation and posting of prepaid expenses and accrued items
- Supporting monthly and annual financial statement preparation
- Participation in process optimization projects
- Contribution to finance-related projects
What you bring:
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA
- Strong knowledge of HGB; IFRS knowledge is an advantage
- Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Excellent English skills (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and quick process understanding
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new topics
- Experience in finance-related projects
- Independent, structured and reliable working style
- High level of commitment, initiative, communication skills and teamwork ability
